Homeboyz clinched the BingwaFest 10s Grand Finale title with a commanding 20-0 win over Equator at the Mamboleo Grounds on Sunday morning.
In the women’s final played at the same venue, Kinale Forest dominated with a 35-7 victory over Hunters Hill to secure the championship.
Both champions will take home KSh 2.5 million, with KSh 1.5 million designated for a community initiative of their choice.
Homeboyz came out firing, with Sospeter Yoga slicing through the defense to score the opening try, which was successfully converted for a 7-0 lead.
They extended the advantage in the second half with an unconverted try and added a penalty to make it 15-0. A late try sealed a 20-point tally and the title for the Deejayz.

In the women’s final, Kinale Forest were clinical, scoring seven converted tries to brush aside Hunters Hill. Sheldon Njeri dazzled with four tries, while Millan Gatonye added one. Millicent Akinyi was flawless with the boot, converting all seven tries.
In the third-place playoffs, Daystar Falcons edged Kisii University 7-5, scoring a last-minute try and converting at the death to overturn an early deficit. Eastlands Community also earned a podium finish after a strong 28-7 win over Blad Babes.
The second placed teams will pocket 700,000 while third places teams will get 400,000.
