Kenya U20 release squad for Barthes Cup opener against Tunisia

Kenya U20 head coach Simon Jawichre has named his starting squad for the U20 Barthes Cup opener against Tunisia, slated for Old Harare on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.

Kabras duo Darell Roy Oluoch and Mike Muriithi are joined by Emmanuel Adoyo in the front row, while Leon Onduso from Impala will partner with Eddy Otieno in the second row.

Josephat Njunye and South Coast Pirates’ John Asega have been paired as flankers, with Justine Lunale completing the forwards list at number eight. Skipper Roymark Maruti will don jersey nine, with Kenya Harlequin’s Faran Juma set to hold the number 10 role once again.

Daniel Kipchirchir continues with his stay in the team, also starting in the midfield after featuring in the Kenya Cup final last weekend. He will partner with Brian Omondi, who will play as the inside centre.

The back three has Brian Kiptanui, who earns another chance in the team after impressing in the Eric Shirley Shield this past season. Javan Odhiambo starts on the open wing after shining in the National 7s Circuit last season, with Mwamba’s Dennis Ndayala at fullback.
