KCB Rugby will settle for bronze in the Kenya Cup after being eliminated at the semi-final stage by Menengai Oilers.
The bankers were scheduled to face Nondescripts on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at KCB Sports Club, Ruaraka, in the third-place playoff. However, Nondies are expected to forfeit the match, handing KCB an automatic win.
KCB Rugby miss trophy
This result means KCB will go a fourth consecutive season without securing a major trophy in the league.
“Happy Wednesday, Pride. We settle for bronze this Kenya Cup season and would like to thank the lion-hearted family, the pure greens, for the love, support, and encouragement,” KCB Rugby announced.

Meanwhile, KCB’s Eric Shirley Shield side will be aiming for a third consecutive title post-COVID when they take on Menengai Oilers in a match that has replaced the bronze final.
The highly anticipated clash is set for 3:00 p.m. at KCB Sports Club.
Menengai Oilers secured their first-ever appearance in an Eric Shirley Shield final after edging past Kabras RFC 25-20 at Nakuru ASK Grounds. KCB booked their spot in the final with an 18-10 victory over Kenya Harlequin at their home ground.
