2024/25 Kenya Cup final standings; Kabras top again as Mwamba drop down

The Kenya Cup regular season has concluded with all teams having played 11 matches, culminating in a dramatic finish.

Kabras RFC have once again dominated, retaining the top spot for the sixth consecutive season.

Kenya Cup unbeaten run

They finished unbeaten for the third year in a row during the regular season. Kabras clinched 11 wins to extend their unbeaten streak, now at 39 matches since 2022, and ended the season with 52 points—a slight drop from last season’s impressive 54 out of 55 points. They wil host the fina if they qualify for it

KCB Rugby secured second place in the regular season for the sixth consecutive year but showed improvement in their points tally, reaching 50 points.

They lost just one match and boasted the best attack in the competition, scoring 560 points and conceding 144. This was an 11-point increase over their tally from last season.

Menengai Oilers finished in third place once again, but this season they improved their performance, adding six points to their total and finishing with 47 points.

Nondies had a notable improvement, climbing to fourth place with 35 points, a four-point increase from last season.

Kenya Harlequin saw a drop in their position but managed to match the points they achieved last season.

Blak Blad secured the sixth spot once again, finishing the season with 26 points.

Nakuru RFC made a late push, winning four consecutive matches to finish in seventh place with 18 points.

Strathmore Leos also ended the season with 18 points, while Kisumu RFC secured survival in the Kenya Cup for a second consecutive season with 17 points.

In a dramatic twist, Impala RFC, who had been relegated three seasons ago due to a head-to-head record, survived the drop this time thanks to the same head-to-head rule.

Mwamba RFC are relegated despite finishing with 16 points, and South Coast Pirates ended their campaign with just nine points.

The season has been one of dramatic highs and lows, with teams battling to the very end for a spot in the playoffs or survival.
