Catholic Monks broke MMUST winning streak after a narrow 13-12 win at the Masinde Muliro University Grounds improving chances of making the semis.
MMUST managed to secure their first try with the captain Collins Ngoko going past the whitewash to change the score 05-00 before a successful conversion by Washington Ombima which stretched it 07-00.
The guests Catholic Monks responded with a three point kick from Victor Omupere’s boot to narrow the scores 07-03.
Catholic Monks managed to take the lead with Victor Omupere scoring the first try for the side making use of Dennis Mulinge’s offload to take the scores 07-08 before Brian Nyamboki stretched the score 10-07 after a successful conversion.

In the second half, the guests stretched their lead after a kick from the substitute fly-half Kelvin Mburu to tally the scores 13-07.
In the dying minutes of the game, openside flanker Brian Ndeda went in for the hosts to narrow the gap 13-12 loosing with a one point differential after the final whistle.
