Blak Blad’s resurgence continued as they came from behind to secure a 40-19 victory over Kisumu RFC at the Mamboleo Grounds in Kisumu.
Blad crossed the 40-point mark once again, after ending their winless streak 50-point win over Pirates last week.

Kisumu were the first to score, with Nigel Maube crossing the try line to give his side a 5-0 lead, which was successfully converted by Victor Otieno to make it 7-0.
Blak Blad responded quickly, with scrum-half narrowing the deficit. Daniel Oyoo’s successful conversion leveled the scores at 7-7.
Kisumu then regained the lead with another try from Branton Lusasi, which was converted to make it 14-7.
However, Blak Blad responded with a double try from Bryson Ogemba and Elvis Otete, one of which was converted by Oyoo, to stretch their lead to 19-14.

In the second half, the Varsity side took full control. Eighth man Randy Wamah was the first to score in the second half, followed by a successful conversion, bringing the score to 26-14.
Blak Blad maintained their dominance, with Otete landning in another try, which, after a successful conversion from Oyoo, extended their lead to 33-14.
Blak Blad’s outside flanker, Obat Kuke, then crossed for another try, making it 40-14 after a successful conversion from Benjamin Rugar.
Kisumu managed a late consolation try from Nigel Maube, but it wasn’t enough to change the outcome. The final whistle blew with the score at 40-19, confirming Blak Blad’s impressive victory.
