The Kenya Rugby Union League and Fixtures Organizing Committee has released the outcomes of a number of matches that were abandoned in different leagues.
The South Coast Pirates’ 17-0 win over Nakuru RFC has been upheld based on KRU Regulations 13.6.4.6(b)(ii) – Match Abandonment, which states that the result stands if 75% of the match is played.

“South Coast Pirates vs Nakuru RFC. The result at the time of match abandonment will stand. Final Score: 17-0 in favor of South Coast Pirates. Decision based on KRU Regulations 13.6.4.6(b)(ii) – Match Abandonment,” reads a statement by KRU.
Nakuru RFC walked out of the match protesting the referee’s decision against them in the final 10 minutes, forcing the match to end at the 74th minute.

The result of the MMUST-Daystar Falcons match has also been upheld due to the same rule.
“The result at the time of match abandonment will stand. Final Score: 18-13 in favor of MMUST. Decision based on KRU Regulations 13.6.4.6(a)(ii-iii) – Match Abandonment,” the statement indicated.
The Ngong Warriors vs Stingerz RFC match is set to be replayed on March 22, 2025. Hosting costs will be shared equally between both teams, with each covering their own transport expenses.
“Additionally, the following matches were affected by violations of KRU Regulations:
- Kilifi Rugby vs KCNP (January 25, 2025)
- NYS Eagles vs Jackals (January 25, 2025)
- Busia Borderrucks vs Kibabii University (January 25, 2025)
“Regulatory breaches: 13.6.4.4 – Delays in kick-off times, 13.6.4.6(b)(ii) – Match Abandonment, 8.3(a-c) – Player Safety. Precedent rulings will apply, awarding full points to the aggrieved teams, while the culpable teams will receive a two-point deduction. Teams wishing to appeal these decisions may do so in accordance with KRU Regulations,” the statement concluded.
