Kisumu RFC triumphed over Mwamba RFC with a score of 25-5, marking their second victory of the season in a match held in Kisumu on Saturday, February 1, 2025.
The match kicked off with Kisumu earning a penalty just eight minutes in, securing the first points of the game. They quickly followed up with another penalty four minutes later, establishing a 6-0 lead.
Mwamba RFC attempted to narrow the gap with an unconverted try from Jeff Kiplangat, bringing the score to 6-5. However, Kisumu responded with their first try of the match, although the conversion attempt was unsuccessful, leaving the halftime score at 11-5 in favour of Kisumu.

In the second half, the hosts dominated with two converted tries, extending their lead to 25-5 by the final whistle.
This victory not only marked Kisumu’s second win of the season but also provided a significant boost in their battle against relegation, as they strive to remain in the country’s top-tier league for a second consecutive season.
