Menengai Oilers defeated Daystar Falcons 80-17 to storm into the Enterprise Cup quarterfinals in a match staged at ASK Showground, Nakuru on Saturday 14 December, 2024.
The oilmen were first to score through Clinton Odhiambo with Timothy Omela adding the extras for 07-00 lead. Omela managed to score a try moments later but the conversion was unsuccessful bringing the scores to 12-00.

Daystar tried to narrow the gap with a penalty kick but Oilers responded quickly through Chrispine Shitundo with Omela converting successfully.
Oilers then extended their lead with two quick tries from Abutwalib Wesonga and Clinton Odhiambo with Omela’s accurate conversion making it 33-03.
Emmanuel Mulindo also earned his name on the scoresheet with a brilliant try before Daystar Falcons scoring their first of the day making it 40-10 in favour of Oilers at the break.
Menengai Oilers continued putting tries past Daystar’s defense in the second half this time captain Ibrahim Oyoo crossing the whitewash for a 47-10 lead.

Shitundo added his second try. Omela added the extras with Celestine Mboi coming in with another unconverted try making it 59-10.
Oilers’ Charles Osgood made good use of a gap to score with Abutwalib Wesonga adding the extras.
Daystar tried to cut the deficit with a try but tries fom Nelson Tengetenge and Odhiambo with conversions from Abutwalib Wesonga saw Oilers bag a big win of 80-17 at full-time booking a place in the Enterprise Cup quarters to be played on February 8 2025.
