Kenya Lionesses have booked their place in the Rugby Africa Women’s 7s quarters finals after defeating Ghana 10-5.
The Lionesses were made to work hard for it after a resilient Ghana side put up a spirited fight.
The Lionesses were first on the board through a brilliant solo effort by Grace Auma that saw them take the lead late in the first half. Auma’s try went unconverted.
Ghana responded minutes later with an unconverted to tie the scores at 5-5. Christabel Lindo scored the winning try in the second half to give the Lionesses their second win of the tournament.
The Lionesses will be next in action later in the evening when they face rivals Madagascar in their last pool game.
