KCB Rugby have beaten CUEA Monks 68-6 in the second plate semis of the Floodlit tournament held at Impala Rugby Grounds.
The former Floodlit Champions, who were shocked 9-8 by Blak Blad last weekend, were too hot to handle for CUEA as they ran in 10 tries to claim the win.
Surprisingly, CUEA Monks were first on the scoresheet through a penalty goal by Sammy Omollo. KCB would then open the floodgates of tries which saw them cross the whitewash on four occasions in the first stanza.
Peter Waitere went over for KCB’s first try. Gabriel Namusasi scored the second try with former Kenya U20 captain, Laban Kipsang, scoring the third under the posts. Gabriel Namusasi would get his brace just before the halftime break. Conversion attempts on the four tries by Austin Sikutwa were successful as they led 28-3 at the break.
