Mshila replaces Kenya 7s head coach Kevin Wambua, who had been leading the side alongside Joseph Baabu. Mshila’s appointment comes shortly after his departure from KCB Rugby, where he served as part of the backroom staff under Curtis Olago.
During his time with KCB, Mshila helped the club clinch multiple Kenya Cup titles. However, the past three seasons were challenging, with the club missing out on major domestic trophies except for the Impala Floodlit tournament.
Mshila, a former player for Mombasa RFC, Mwamba RFC, and the Kenya national team, transitioned into coaching after retiring from playing. His return to Mwamba marks a new chapter for the club as they aim to revive their fortunes in the upcoming season.
