KCB Rugby forward Oscar Sorano undergoes surgery

KCB Rugby front rower Oscar Sorano has successfully undergone surgery ahead of the 2024/25 Kenya Cup season, which is set to kick off in mid-November 2024.

The club shared an update from a Nairobi-based hospital, showing Sorano in a hospital bed with his right foot in a cast. The club confirmed that the prop had undergone successful Achilles surgery.

“Oscar Sorano underwent a successful Achilles surgery at MP Shah Hospital,” KCB Rugby announced via their social media platforms.

The St. Anthony’s High School alumnus is expected to miss both the 2024 Impala Floodlit Tournament and the opening rounds of the Kenya Cup campaign. KCB are gearing up for the Kenya Cup season with the Floodies as their traditional warm-up event.

KCB Rugby hold the record for the most titles in the Impala Floodlit Tournament, having secured their 10th championship in 2023 with a dramatic 25-23 extra-time victory over Nondies.
