Kenya Harlequin have knocked out defending champions KCB Rugby at the Dala 7s, securing a spot in the semifinals alongside Menengai Oilers, MMUST, and Kabras RFC at Mamboleo Grounds.
In the semifinals, Menengai Oilers will face MMUST Rugby Club, while Kenya Harlequin will go up against Kabras RFC.
Dala 7s first?
Kabras, Oilers, and MMUST are all chasing their first-ever Dala 7s title, with Kenya Harlequin looking to reclaim the trophy.
For the first time this season, MMUST have advanced to the semifinals after a thrilling sudden-death victory over Catholic Monks.
The match ended 7-7 at halftime, and after both teams scored unconverted tries in the second half to make it 12-12, MMUST secured the win in extra time.
Menengai Oilers, who missed out on the Kakamega Ingo 7s semifinals, have made it to the Cup semis after defeating Nondies 12-5.
Dennis Abukuse scored both tries for the Oilers in a match that saw them bounce back impressively.
Kenya Harlequin demonstrated their dominance by eliminating Dala 7s holders KCB Rugby with a 12-5 victory.
The match was briefly interrupted due to an injury to Leon Nyang but resumed with Quins quickly scoring through Alvin Khavoli. KCB equalized with a try from Samuel Asati, but Quins’ Brian Ratila scored again, and Amon Wamalwa’s conversion secured the win.

Kabras RFC reached their third consecutive semifinal this season after a commanding 32-0 win over Nakuru RFC.
The Sugarmen took an early lead with tries from Brian Mutua and Derrick Ashihundu. William Mwanji extended the lead to 15-0 at halftime, with Ashihundu and Mutua adding more points in the second half to seal a dominant victory.
