Friends School Bwake Boys edged Vihiga boys 19-14 to lift the 2024 KSSSA Nationals 7s rugby title in the boys category in Kisii County, breaking the Western Region dominance.
Bwake will for the first time qualify for the Rugby 7s East Africa competition in Uganda as the top team alongside second-place Vihiga, third-place St. Mary’s Yala and Kisii School.
The Rift Valley Champions landed three tries against Vihiga’s two tries to become champions. This was after having eliminated back-to-back champions Koyonzo in the quarters and saw off St Mary’s Yala in the semis.

In the girls category, St. Joseph’s Girls Kitale are the 2024 KSSSA National girls rugby 7s champions after managing a 10-05 win over Kinale Girls.
St. Joseph’s girls have had an unbeaten run for the title having won all their matches from the zonal competition and thus proving their need to be recognized as the powerhouse for girls rugby.
JOGA have qualified for the East Africa games as the National Champions alongside Kinale Girls who are second, third place Nyagichenche and St. Theresa.
