Bwake end Koyonzo’s KSSSA National 7s 3-peat dream

KSSSA National 7s champions Koyonzo Boys are out of the competition and will not defend their title.

Koyonzo who have dominated the KSSSA rugby 7s title for two years have fallen short against Rift Valley region champions Bwake Boys in the first quarter finals at the Kisii School ground.

Bwake Boys were first to book their semi finals spot in the boys category having dominated the first quarter final match to terminate the game 10-05 despite having played a six to seven match with one of their players receiving a yellow card.

The other three matches of the boys quarter finals are scheduled for Wednesday 7th.

In the girls category, Kinale Girls were first to secure their semi finals spot after managing a narrow 14-12 win over Madira girls. 

Kisii county giants Nyagichenche girls booked the second spot after edging Nyakach girls 10-05 in the second quarter finals.

National girls rugby 15s champions St. Joseph’s girls Kitale made an upset signature to slide into the semis after a 14-05 win against Paul Harris. 

St. Theresa  were last to book their spot in the semis after a dominant 10-00 win over Shimba Hills in the last quarter final.
