The pools for the first round of the 2024 Rugby Africa Men’s 7s are out, with Kenya 7s seeded top for the event to be held in Port-Louis, Mauritius, from June 29-30.
This year’s African Men’s 7s will be played across two weekends, with the team having the highest point tally being crowned champions.
Africa Men’s 7s pool A
Kenya, having won the 2023 edition by defeating South Africa 17-12 in Harare, is placed in Pool A alongside Nigeria, Madagascar, and hosts Mauritius.
In Pool B, the 2022 Champions Uganda 7s will face Burkina Faso, Tunisia, and Ivory Coast.
Uganda enter the event after missing out on an Olympic ticket following a quarterfinal loss to eventual winners South Africa.
Earlier this year, they won the All African Rugby 7s with a 100% win record.

Zimbabwe Cheetahs are in Pool C, competing against neighbors Zambia, Ghana, and Algeria.
The first leg of the competition will run from June 29-30, and the second leg from July 6-7.
The Labourdonnais Stadium in Port-Louis will host the events, bringing together 12 African national teams for a thrilling rugby sevens competition.
