MMUST RFC’s quest for a home semi-final has received a major boost after they were awarded maximum points against Western Bulls.

The two sides faced off on Saturday with the match ending in a 3-3 draw but the fixtures committee has ruled that MMUST earn five points from the match after Bulls fielded an illegible player.

“Western Bulls loses the match without any points being docked and no financial penalties imposed, having fielded ineligible players as a club offence guided by KRU Regulation 13 sanctions. Masinde Muliro is awarded full points,” reads part of the rulling.

With the result, MMUST climbed top of the log with 39 points level with Daystar Falcons heading to the final round of the campaign.

South Coast Pirates are on 36 points and will hope that MMUST and Daystar falter on the final day to book a home semi -final.
