Abuga returns as MMUST name squad for South Coast Pirates showdown

Former MMUST captain Brian Abuga has been included on the team that will play South Coast Pirates on Saturday at Seacrest grounds, Ukunda.

Former Under 20 player Javan Orlando will have Jersey One, the stepping and skilful hooker Caleb Owino will have Jersey two and with the most experienced MMUST prop Collins Ngoko set for jersey three.

MMUST Rookie of the year Ryan Makaka maintains his position in the second row and will lock together with Calvin Wabuyele.  After an impressive performance, Ramadhan Abdalla remains the blindside flanke.  Brian Ndeda drops to the bench as Benson Mwata returns to the starting fifteen on the open side.

Former Chipu player and MMUST player of the year Paywick Munoko will be the last man on the scrum with Jersey Eight.

Skipper Veron Kaburu after an impressive performance last week against Daystar Falcons scoring a hattrick will be the scrum-half and will play alongside the experienced Washington Ombima at fly-half.

MMUST ‘King of Carries ‘ Ian Oduor will be the first centre with Jersey twelve and utility back Paul Odongo makes first start of the season at outside centre and replaces Kelvin Bukhala who is out because of injury.

The back three remains unchanged with Musa Mugandi at the blind wing, Sam Maboni at the open wing and Josephat Omulefu at full back.

Bush Maxwell makes his first-team debut and will start from the bench.
