Kenya U20 head coach Curtis Olago has named the squad that will feature in the World U20 Trophy set for Nyayo Stadium from 15-30 July 2023.
The squad includes some exciting additions, such as UK-based fly-half Spenser Davis, who is currently studying at the London School of Economics.
Also joining the team is James Olela from Kabras RFC, who made his mark by scoring against KCB Rugby in the Enterprise Cup final.
Both Davis and Olela were not part of the Barthes Trophy squad but have earned their spots in the U20 team.
Other notable inclusions in the squad are Victor Odhiambo from Strathmore Leos, Alvin Kalori from Kisumu, and Andycole Omollo from MMUST.
The team, known as Chipu, has been placed in Group B alongside Hong Kong China, Samoa, and Spain for the World Rugby U20 Trophy.
This tournament marks the return of the U20 Trophy in 2023 after a four-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
It is also a significant moment for Kenya as the competition returns to the country for the first time since 2009, providing an excellent opportunity for the young Kenyan players to showcase their talent on home soil.
