Dala 7s awards: Quins playmaker crowned MVP, Nondies Fidens wins points scorer

The Dala 7s tournament concluded on Sunday with a ceremony held at Jomo Kenyatta Stadium to honor the standout performers of the event.

Despite finishing in fourth place, Amon Wamalwa from Kenya Harlequin was recognized as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament.

Wamalwa, who recently completed his move to Kenya Harlequin, played a crucial role in his team’s fourth-place finish.

Brunson Madigu from Strathmore Leos was awarded the Top Try Scorer accolade for his outstanding performance throughout the three-day tournament.

Madigu showcased his scoring prowess by crossing the try line six times, contributing significantly to Strathmore Leos’ third-place finish.

The Top Points Scorer title was claimed by Fidens Tony, the playmaker from Nondies. Tony amassed an impressive 47 points, showcasing his skill and accuracy in converting opportunities into points. Nondies finished in a ninth position in the tournament.

In the highly-anticipated final, KCB Rugby emerged victorious with a 17-5 triumph over Kabras. For their exceptional performance, KCB Rugby was awarded a prize of Ksh 100,000.

Kabras, the runners-up, received a cash prize of Ksh 50,000, while Kabarak also secured a prize of Ksh 50,000 for their performance in the tournament.
