Kenya 7s players Kevin Wekesa and Brian Tanga have been included in the Dream Team for the London 7s tournament.
Wekesa showcased outstanding form on day one of the competition, scoring six tries in two matches as Kenya secured victories against Canada and Tonga in the playoffs pool.
Wekesa, who plays for Kabras, also topped the Impact Players chart on Saturday. However, he unfortunately suffered an injury in the first half of the playoffs final, which saw Kenya lose their core status in the tournament.
Joining Wekesa in the Dream Team is his club-mate Brian Tanga, who also impressed throughout the tournament. Tanga’s contributions on the field earned him a well-deserved spot in the prestigious selection.
The London 7s Dream Team also features other standout players from the tournament, including Argentina’s Agustin Fraga and Rodrigo Isgro, who were part of the victorious Argentina team. Additionally, Manueli Maisamoa from Fiji, the finalists of the London 7s, has been recognized for his exceptional performances.
Series Champions Akuila Rokolisoa and Regan Ware from the victorious team of New Zealand have also secured spots in the esteemed Dream Team.
