Menengai Oilers sign eight ahead of Kenya Cup return

2021/22 Kenya Cup finalists Menengai Oilers made eight signing in the transfer window with majority of their players coming from the lower tiers.

Former Kabras RFC and Kenya Harlequins centre Johnstone Mung’au is one of the top signings made in the window. Munga’u has been signed from Kenya Cup side Kenya Harlequin,  a club he played for for just a season.

Menengai Oilers sign Ezekiel Waitere

Menengai Oilers have also brought in Ezekiel Waitere from hometown rivals Nakuru RFC.  The club has also acquired Timothy Lugalia  from Shamas Foundation, Charles Osgood from Kisumu RFC,  Henry Miheso from Daystar Falcons.

Kevin Masibo joins Gibson Weru’s side from  Kitale RFC while Herbert Ochieng was signed from Meru University.

Menengai Oilers will be looking to maintain their unblemished run in Kenya Cup when they take on Nakuru RFC in a a Nakuru Derby scheduled for Nakuru ASK Showground on Saturday.

They are currently place second on the log with 19 points, just one behind leaders KCB Rugby.
