The Kenya 7s squad that will feature in the seventh and eighth tournaments of the World 7s Series scheduled for Toulouse and London has been announced.
Nondies back Benson Salem and Blak Blad winger Archadius Khwesa are in line for their World 7s Series debut after being included in the squad. Augustine Lugonzo is set to make a return to 7s Series after a lengthy absence as well as Alvin Otieno, Timothy Mmasi and Johnstone Olindi who missed the previous two events.
Bush Mwale, Herman Humwa, Edmund Anya, Billy Odhiambo, Tony Omondi and skipper Nelson Oloo have all been retained.
Kenya 7s will face off with Olympic Champions Fiji, hosts France and Wales in Pool B matches.
Previously France’s event used to take place in Paris but World Rugby announced new host cities which included Malaga, Seville (in Spain) and Toulouse for the 2022 events.
The Toulouse 7s will be staged at The Stade Ernest-Wallon. The stadium was built in the late 1980s and it was recently renovated. It has a capacity of 19,500.
On the men’s side, Toulouse will be the 36th new host city in the World 7s Series, while on the women’s side, it will be the 21st.
